Antonio Papageorgiou is a partner in the New York office of Lombard Geliebter Cohen and head of the firm’s Patent Practice. With over 19 years of experience in intellectual property law, he advises clients across industries on patent and trademark prosecution, appeals, enforcement, and defense. His work spans a wide range of technologies, including software and business methods, computers and electronics, and medical devices.
Before joining LGC, Mr. Papageorgiou was a partner at Meister Seelig & Fein LLP, and previously served as in-house patent counsel at Cantor Fitzgerald L.P., where he developed a streamlined patent strategy that significantly improved the quality and volume of the company’s patent portfolio. Earlier in his career, he worked as an engineer for the Federal Aviation Administration, where he oversaw the design and installation of critical air traffic control systems such as RADAR, UHF/VHF/microwave communications, landing systems, and facility infrastructure.
Mr. Papageorgiou has extensive experience representing clients in administrative and judicial proceedings, including inter partes reviews, reexaminations, and cases before U.S. District Courts and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
